This is awesome! I don't know how your TA is but I think mine would probably give full credit for something like this. I just hope we don't have to use those pH meters again, they were little bias. Anyway, good luck :P

This is f***ing HILLARIOUS!!! Thanks for sharing our woes with the world...

My chem lab was on a Friday afternoon, that didn't complement my experiments too well...

I learned that the true aim of 1st year chem is "TA evasion 101"... if you screw up, TRY YOUR DAMN HARDEST TO NOT LET THE TA SEE!!!

We were dealing with this substance that emitted toxic fumes...I was reading my lab manual step by step: "Under a fumehood, centrifuge sample." Ok. Centrifuged. Bring it back to my bench, keep on reading: "KEEPING THE TEST TUBE IN THE FUME HOOD, discard the supernatant."

...Frantically look around, notice the TA being on the other side of the lab, run back to the fume hoods before anyone(reads: TA, health-conscious labmates) notices you poisoning the lab...

Good luck! (Every science student needs it!)

Fortunately, my KHP was not knocked off in the oven! I loved titration and still love doing it (I'm older now and the light pink looks.. well different)..

Thanks for the sending us in the memory lane.

i had to do this exact experiment in Ap Chemistry a few years ago, what a pain in the ass it was, if you think your college's equipment was bad try doing it in a utah public high school. more power to ya man if you actually got around all the bullshit without having to fudge the data.

You're making it sound way more difficult than it is. Also: you will be evaluated how you deal with frustration, and how good your perseverance is (I am not kidding). You won't need any of this in your job, assuming that you'll be lucky enough to land a job in your major. If you're a klutz in the lab, than think about physical chemistry, or theoretical (computational) chemistry maybe.

Good luck. You'll need it.
